It's a decongestant and can be used to reduce copious mucus.

Chamomile: Calming mild sedative, Antispasmodic, Vulnerary, Demulcent, Anti-microbial, Astringent, with folate, iron, and zinc. anti-inflammatory; rich in antioxidants and flavonoids; saponins and polysaccharides. Reduces fever and treats congestion caused by cold and flu.
